Guts and skin and flesh, they ride a wave,
It pounds the mouths of those that crave,
And in their blood I slowly drown.
The same red tears slide down the cheek,
From the gouged out eyes that desperately seek,
The sight of music to warm the world.
(This pen only knows to write in salt
It scribbles in flesh, I feel my heart,
Pounding pain in which to drown)
(Give this salt pen something to drink,
Let it cry out notes between the lines,
Sobs of music to warm the world)
This dream won’t give me any rest.

Thank God I’m in that dream again,
It’s all been done but by my hand.
I’ll carry the load, I’ll carry the lie,
I’ll jump I swear, I know how to fly.

I know I make mistakes,

I’m an angel compared to some of my friends.

I want to feel life while I’m in it.
And I say what think.
I wear my heart on my sleeve.
I never know how much of what I say is true.
Lead me not into temptation,
I can find the way myself.
Normal is in the eye of the beholder.

AM: Medley

We are two students who met at McGill University.
AM was recorded over a period of 12
hours, in a small, empty classroom with a grand piano in it, and the broom closet beside it.
PM: The EP was recorded in a basement, over the course of a week, while learning the ropes of audio recording for the first time. Two songs have yet to be recorded.
